“Worldly” is refusing to give your enemies a glass of water in Jesus’ name.

“Worldly” is refusing to do good to those who have despitefully used you.

“Worldly” is caring more about what is “fair” than what would show someone the love of Christ.

Listen, I gave up everything except eating, breathing, water, and sleeping at times in my Christian life, thinking it would impress God.

It never got me closer to God or fulfilled me.

What does?

Giving, sharing, caring, and doing for others in Jesus’ Name!

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:27)

How does the world “spot” us?

Look around. See the murder. See the pain. See the cruelty. See the unfairness. See hate seem to reign. It will SPOT you.

I understand why there are atheists: this world hurts. Had I walked the intellectual path of atheism without Christ and the Truth of the Bible, and the miracle that had been wrought in me by the Holy Spirit, I could have been an atheist. This world hurts and it wants to SPOT you!

This world will make you want to give up on it! Make you want to hate instead of love. Cause you to make it US vs THEM instead of Love vs Hate and Salvation vs Sin.

Don’t let the world SPOT you!

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-48)
